Full Job Description

We are currently searching for a talented Wound Care NP/PA to join our team! You will use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide the highest quality of care to our patients in Brooklyn, NY and surrounding areas. The ideal Provider is confident, compassionate, and committed to delivering quality healthcare to the elderly population.

Physician Responsibilities

  • Perform routine patients rounds
  • Performing physical exams and patient observations for patients with acute or chronic wounds.
  • Monitor healing progress
  • Recording patients’ medical histories and symptoms.
  • Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
  • Ordering, administering, and analyzing diagnostic tests.
  • Utilize advanced wound care methods such as debridement, appropriate dressing choices, skin grafts and infection control strategies.
  • Consulting with other healthcare professionals, facility staff and patients family.
  • Training patients and their caregivers to manage and prevent illness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record system

Wound Care Physician Requirements

  • The ability to travel to multiple facilities in and near Brooklyn, NY with own means of transportation
  • Active NP or PA License in the state of NY
  • Active DEA
  • Certification in wound care (e.g., CWOCN, CWS, WCC, WOCN) is preferred but not required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in advanced wound care
  • Ability to communicate important health information effectively and compassionately.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly.
  • Good bedside manner

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time/PRN

Setting: Nursing Home/Skilled Nursing Facility

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
